SECURITY & YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY

Security and Safety are of paramount importance to Blaze Gym. All our clubs are monitored using CCTV, and remotely monitored via a system that has audio and visual access to the facility. Below is some important information that you should be aware of during unstaffed hours.

You can watch some helpful videos about club access and personal safety by clicking on the buttons below.

Club Entry System

To ensure you’re safe when inside our clubs, every member’s access is controlled via dynamic QR code. The QR code is available only on the members App. This QR code has a time-limit, and a screenshot cannot be taken of it, nor can you access the same App on two separate devices. This ensures we know who is in the Club. The members scan using their unique dynamic QR code and these scanners are highlighted in red above. Please ensure you have watched the Video on how to Access the Club.

CCTV WITH TWO-WAY AUDIO

For your safety Blaze is equipped with the latest state-of-art CCTV. During unstaffed hours the CCTV is monitored via the ARC (Alarm Receiving Centre) who can talk to members if required.

PERSONAL SAFETY DEVICE (PSD)

For your personal safety and Blaze going that extra mile, we encourage all its members to use our Personal Safety Device, during unstaffed hours. Simply place the lanyard around your neck upon entry into the Club.  If the member needs help, they can press the SOS button to connect to Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) and have a hands-free, clear voice call. These PSDs come with the benefits of:

  • Fall Detection Option - If the PSD detects a slip, trip or fall, an SOS call is automatically activated. It can be cancelled if the user is OK.

  • Two-way Voice Calls. The PSD has a powerful loudspeaker and a sensitive microphone to allow clear voice communication even at a distance.

  • Auto Answer Option – The PSD automatically answers calls from the ARC without pressing a button, which saves time in emergency or welfare situations.

Just remember to place the PSD back in the charging position upon exiting the Club.

EMERGENCY HELP POINTS WITH 2-WAY AUDIO

Red Emergency help points are located on each floor of the Club with 2-way communication so that you can speak to someone in Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) to ask for emergency assistance. We hope you'll never need to use it, but it's good to know help is always at hand if you need it.

FIRST AID KIT

All staff are First Aid qualified. The first aid station is located at the entrance to the club and will have everything you need in case of an emergency.

AED (Automated External Defibrillator)

The AED (Automated External Defibrillator) is a life-saving device that can automatically analyse a patient's heart rhythm and deliver a shock if needed. It provides fully spoken instructions to guide someone through how to use it in an emergency, providing life-saving support for our members.

In addition to all the above:

  • Trained staff to deal with emergencies.

  • HVAC fresh air ventilation.

  • For your safety, access to the changing rooms is restricted during unstaffed hours.

  • Music volume is controlled to the correct levels.

  • Water fountain to keep us all well hydrated.

  • General and Fire Risk Assessments to ensure all safety measures are in place.

  • Unauthorised access to the Club controlled via a unique dynamic QR code.
